Too long absent

Has it really been that long since I posted a message? I am sorry. Things have been a whirlwind of activity here. Writing, getting ready for summer vacations, trying to make deadlines, and making difficult decisions.

One particularly hard decision I’ve reached recently is the revoking of my historical Always Love. This book will not be released While I loved the characters in the novel (and the real life people these characters were based on) I feel that this book would not be what my readers look for in a Donica Covey novel. Paranormal romantic comedies and Romantic suspense is where my ideas are the strongest and where my writing is best suited.

I do have the witches that are being released the first one coming in October, and I have an inspirational short that I sent to my publisher in hopes of being published as part of an anthology.

The Golden Rose ward winners haven’t been announced yet, but I know that I didn’t win because the winners were already notified by email. While of course I’m disappointed at the loss I’m still honored just have been nominated. Besides, there is always next year right?

Well today is Memorial Day here in the states and we have several things planned including a trip to the cemetery to visit our loved ones who have gone on.

As I prepare for my trip (I leave next Wednesday) I will be more and more absent in my postings. I will try to get back on a regular schedule once things slow down a bit.
