Mother's Day Weekend

I had such a nice Mother’s day!

My lovely daughter made a cake just for me, with home made icing. I came home from spending Friday with my mother and found her hard work in the kitchen

However I failed as a cooking teacher. I didn’t let her know that Confectioner’s sugar is Powdered Sugar so when she read the recipe she used granulated white sugar.

When I saw it, I explained to her what kind of sugar she needed she shooed me from the kitchen and add the powder sugar. Needless to say the chocolate frosting was EXTREMELY sweet. Like an overly sweetened fudge… But it was the thought that counted and I proceeded to eat my piece with relish.

Also she gave me the prettiest purple Calla Lily plant. Second only to roses Calla’s are my favorite.

I have been working on edits, writing and have had my head in the sand unable to participate in life. I know I haven’t been posting here for a while and I’m sorry. I haven’t forgotten y’all honest.
