T13 time again

I’ve often heard that I’m a bit of an oddity. There are several things that people base their claim upon. Personally I don’t see anything odd. So here are 13 things that some people say are odd. You can judge for yourself. I’m thinking I may have done these before but that’s okay, right?

1. I went to Rocky Horror Picture show every Friday night for most of my high school dating life.

2. My favorite movies were anything about Jason, Freddy, or other similar horror films.

3. I only read Stephen King and up until 1993 had every single title.

4. My favorite job, other than writing, was being an EMT. I could sit in a restaurant and discuss calls we’d been on and things we’d seen while eating. I also sit through “horror” movies and laugh at the mistakes they make. Same goes for the rescue shows.

5. I love Addam’s Family and Munsters. I have the same décor.

6. My kids grew up knowing it was Christmas time when I started playing my favorite Christmas CD: The Cryptkeeper’s Have yourself a Scary little Christmas.

7. I’ve decorated my Christmas tree with Halloween decorations.

8. I’ve designed my DD’s Sweet Sixteen cake and it isn’t your pink and frills party.
9. One of my current projects is a formula of horror, history, suspense and romance. I’ve basically taken one of my favorite people in history gave him a bit of a heart and have actually succeeded in making him the perfect, sympathetic anti hero. I’m anxious to finish this one and get it out the door.

10. The focal points in my office are: my talking skull candy dish, glow in the dark bats, black and purple bat garland, a witches kettle candy bowl, garland of bat lights, a lighted tombstone and a plastic champagne glass with a tem that is a skeleton arm and the hand hold the bowl of the glass.

11. I watched all the Nightmare on Elm street movies with my son when he was 6 years old. We laughed all the way through them.

12. My funeral plans are as follows: All useable organs are to be donated and harvested. All black roses with cow trim hanging from the (rented) casket. The material inside the casket is a light purple sheer with black velvet bats all over it. Water guns under each seat so that who ever cries will get nailed by the others in the room. (I am very anticrying at funerals) After the funeral ceremony and the required parties that follow I am to be cremated and my ashes scattered over the family place in Arkansas.

13. I already own the material described above. It’s stored safely in my cedar chest. I also already have the cow trim. I haven’t gotten the water guns yet. No I’m not planning on dying anytime soon, but it never hurts to be prepared right?

So drop a comment and let me know, do you think I'm an odd duck?

You're not odd - just unique. I love holidays, but Halloween just isn't my favorite one.

Haha... I agree with Denise, your not odd, just unique. My sister likes Halloween décor, but not nearly as much as you seem to. :-)

Thanks for visiting my TT.

I bet you love The Nightmare Before Christmas as much as I do. I read everything Stephen King wrote for years. And then I just stopped for some reason. I need to get back and finish those.

Nope, not odd. You know what you like. You'd probably get along well with Rob Zombie, come to think of it... and I think he's WAY effing cool.

Happy TT, babe! I know I owe you an e-mail; it's been NUTS around here. In more ways than one. I'd have loved to have you with me today; your EMT experience would have been helpful.

There is nothing wrong with any of those...I can sooooo relate. Were you born in November??? It seems that those of us born around that time of year share the same oddities:) Happy TT and thanks for stopping by.

blinking in confusion - there was something supposedly ODD in that list? (looking again) nooo... i'm just not seeing it. by the way - did you see those cool Morticia and Lily Munster Barbies on Scoopers site? I hate barbies but would bend my own rules to have one of those.
me - i'm planning on being burned at sea in a bigass viking barge. yeah - that'll work. i'll have to send you pics of my very cool skull collection. all behind glass. freaks out the corporate suits when they come here for parties. heh.

You, my dear, sound very, very intriguing. I'm sooo not a horror person--too chicken.

Halloween is a bit different here, and I don't decorate like you do. But no, not odd.
