Ok on with my T13:
Thirteen of my Favorite Bands
1. Sonata Arctica. A FANTASTIC power Metal band from Finland. If you haven't heard them you have no idea what you are missing. You can check out their music by going to their website, www.sonataarctica.com or visit my YouTube account to see a video or three of their songs.

2. Nightwish: Another AWESOME metal band from Finland. I loved them when the lead singer was Tarja Turunen. But from what I understand the new lead singer is supposed to be pretty great too. I won't get to find out until their release in September. For more information on this band check out their site: http://www.nightwish.com/en/

3. Evanescence http://www.evanescence.com An amazing alternative rock band from Little Rock Arkansas. Their music kicks! Amy Lee is the front woman for this group and let me tell you all, this woman has got some pipes! Make sure not to miss a little taste of thie music.

4. Queen: www.queenonline.com What? I can love the best classic rock band of all times! Freddy was an AMAZING singer. His loss was felt deeply by me and everyone else who had a deep love of this talented man. And come on! Who can't get into the banging head of Bohemian Rhapsody?

5. Skid Row: I Remember You. Sebastian Bach. Need I say more? Okay I CAN. YUMMY! HOTTY! I have always been majorly into long hair. Toss in the fact a man can sing, and even better if he can sing AND play guitar and honey I am ALL over it! Did you know they're back? Head over to www.skidrow.com and get all the latest updates!

6. Warrant: HEAVEN ISN’T TOO FAR AWAY. and when I watched these guys I could definitely feel like I was getting close. Having the um...chance to have known one of them I have to say, they do ROCK!!! www.warrantweb.net

7. Creed: I love these guys! Scott's amazing voice, his lyrics, I just can't help but love them. And I welcome them with Arms Wide Open www.creed.com

8. Do any of you remember Damn Yankees? I tell you they can take me High Enough! Ted Nugent, Tommy Shaw, great guitarists, fabulous singers, gotta love that hair! Unfortunately there is no official website I can direct you too, but here is a good link: www.rocknrollhell.com/damnyankees

9. Iron Maiden: I'd Run To the Hills for these guys. Actually I have, well to a point. I ran my butt off making sure I had money for tickets and I had the time of my life at their concert played in Oklahoma City in 1987. I’m telling you when Eddie rose from the stage the place exploded! www.ironmaiden.com

10. Rainbow: AKA Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow. I had a major thing for Joe Lynn Turner, the bands front man during the 80's. Ronny James Dio was a big name with them until he and the band split. I'd go up to see the Man on the Silver Mountain and walk the Street of Dreams to see these guys. Of course at the time I was going through a Joe Lynn Turner phase. Since disbanding there has been no real website for them but you can get more information at: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ritchie_Blackmore's_Rainbow

11. Bon Jovi. This should be pretty self-evident. Jon, hair, voice, guitar, yum. I was Livin’ on a Prayer my boyfriend would come through for me and snag me tickets to the Oklahoma City appearance in 1987. He came through for me and I had a blast! Boyfriend, my best college bud and I went and jammed singing along with the rest of the crowd, cheering as Jon floated above our heads during the show. Right now I really do love the song Have a Nice Day. And Last Man Standing is pretty awesome too! Check out their site for new releases and concert information: www.islandrecords.com/bonjovi/home.las

12. Nickelback. This one took me a while to get into. It wasn't until I heard Follow you Home that they came to my attention. I hated the song Disease. It was just not my cup of tea. Of course as any Disease is prone to, I became infected. This will never be on my list of top 100 favorites but I don't despise it any longer. They became real Rockstars in my eyes with Photograph www.nickelback.com

13. What list would be complete without the man himself? He went through a dark period with Black Sabbath, and remained on his chartered course. A real Iron Man, for many years. He took us off the rails on the Crazy Train showed his sensative side with songs like Goodbye to Romance and when he teamed up with Lita Ford and did Close My Eyes Forever, I was won over. As we all know Ozzy is still kicking it and every year Ozzfest draws millions of people. I'm going to get there one of these days. I just want to enjoy that experience one last time before I'm too old to get out. Anyway check and see whats up in Ozzy’s life. Go to: www.ozzy.com

Donica...darlin'...I'm seeing a lotta hair in this list...goes well with my punkers this week :-)
You have some awesome bands here! I love Nickleback. :)
Mmmmmm. Music. And good stuff, too. (I'll forgive the lack of Metallica on here. THIS time. *grin*)
I was actually listening to Skid Row on my XM today and thinking about what a gorgeous, gorgeous voice Bass has. Did you catch him on Broadway? Knew he did it? Yummy.
Have a great trip. When you get back, we'll have to knock musical heads together and cause some trouble.
Run to those hills
Run for your life...
Yup. Maiden rules this planet.
Mmmm Nickelback.
Odd, I was just telling my daughter about Sebastian Bach the other day. And yes, yes I did get to see Damn Yankees in concert.
Happy Thursday, and have a good couple of weeks off.
Great list!!! I love creed and was so upset when they broke up:(
Some of my favorites too! Thanks for visiting my blog, and happy TT.
I worshipped Freddie - his vocals were unsurpassed. Plus i loved so many of Queen's lyrics...okay - early stuff. Also Brian Mays was hellishly gifted. I cried for two days when he died. One of most favorite memories is when i discovered he and David Bowie (someone else i idolized) sang Under Pressure together.
Donica LUVS hairbands! :D
