I reworked Maryna and did a proposal thing to go along with it and finally I sent it to my editor at Samhain. I've got my fingers crossed that they’ll bite onto this series too! Of course crossed fingers and typing do not a friendly combination make. I received an email from her acknowledging the receipt of said manuscript and the basics of the series outline/plotlines etc. She said it sounded interesting and that it was going into her database for reading. Now does that mean I should get all excited because she said something about it being interesting? Not really. I'm hopeful because aside from the Gateway Guardians, Elemental Desires is my favorite series. I love those witches and would be so thrilled to see them published. But I'm keeping my feet grounded. Editors cannot buy every manuscript their authors submit no matter how much we authors would love to see that happen. That doesn't mean I'm not going to keep watching with bated breath for the acceptance/rejection email and praying it's the former.
I also received an email from her about edits for Callye's Justice. Seems the Easter Bunny will be putting them in my Easter basket! I'm ready to get round one edits finished, so that I can get on with round two and maybe even suffer through round three. We'll see. Just because edits are coming in now doesn't mean that this book is being released anytime soon, it doesn't. There are so many books scheduled to be released at so many times that the edits need to be started well in advance. I don't even know when the release date will be, but I suspect it will not be before November or even January of next year. I'm not going to be frustrated about the release date so much as I am the waiting, ya know? I'm just glad it is going to be released!
Betraying Chase is starting to flow again. All I had to do was change one minor detail and boom! That did it! Not that it's not coming out in a rush, its more like a gentle trickling brook. Slowly but steadily. I just hope I can keep it up.
Something about me you didn't know. I enjoy art. Not that I have massive amounts of it in my home or do I frequent museums but I really do enjoy it when I get the chance. Anything by Monet I love. Van Gogh, Chagall, da Vinci, Rousseau, Renoir, even Dali I truly enjoy. There is one painting that I truly LOVE and it isn't from any of these men. It is The Scream by Edvard Munch. Why do I love it? I'm not sure. There is something about it that speaks to me. But isn't that the basic thing about art? Its subjective, right? Each person has their own feelings and thoughts evoked by a painting.
Anyway that leads me to something I had played with last week and I thought I'd share it with you. I was having a bad day in the writing arena and my current health issues had depressed me so I did something I enjoy and strolled through the art gallery of the Internet. I was hit with an idea, an inspiration that brought a smile to my face and I hope it does to yours as well.
I did play with a few other of my favorites but this is my favorite.
I'm going to try and get back in here again this week.
Huggles!

LOL at the pic, Doni.
I laugh at your third round edits.
THE WOLVERINE AND THE ROSE had EIGHT rounds of edits, if you count my own self-edits (which I DO count).
So if you happen to have a bajillion edits, don't come cryin' to me! You'll be preaching to the choir! LOL
