Good Monday Morning

Almost March already! Can you believe it? This year already seems to be flying faster than last! It's been a rather long weekend. My grandfather was taken to the Emergency Room on Friday for abdominal pain and distension. A series of test revealed a gall bladder so infected…well lets just say he was and is a very sick man. The surgeon couldn't even perform the operation due to the infection. He had to do a lap and they must continue to monitor him to get a gauge on where other stones and infection lay. Prayers for his health would be greatly appreciated. He's 88 and still far too young to be this sick.

On to business. I've spent the last month showing you images of my heroes/heroines for the Gateway Guardians series. The final book spotlights Mickey and Terese Flannery. A lovely couple who finally escape for a honeymoon in a Hawaiian paradise only to be abducted and hunted for revenge by the son of the drug lord Rivera that Mickey helped remove from business, permanently.

I'm still struggling with completing Betraying Chase and I don't know what the problem is. My focus isn’t where it should be and the characters have been silent. I’m tackling other projects as I wait for the story to come, but so far nothing. Zip. Nada. It's very frustrating.

Last week I was told I needed the final blurb for Callye's Justice. I also needed a tag line so I thought I’d share.

They shattered his world by kidnapping his fiancée--paybacks are a bitch.

Justice Bernard, DEA Special Agent, and his team have spent years investigating and putting kinks in the chain of drugs entering and leaving St. Louis. He's seen a lot in his line of work, but he wasn’t prepared for what happens next.

Callye Ann Simone's head is spinning. She has just accepted Justice's proposal and they were making plans for the future. Now she finds herself alone, tied up in the dark and wondering if there will be a future.

Justice awakens to find his fiancée gone, taken literally from his arms. Now, he must find her at any cost, because her kidnappers are the very men he has shaken down for drug trafficking--and they want revenge.

Can he save her from the men who want to destroy him?

There is no release date at this point but I'm hoping to hear that it’s in the near future! I love this book, actually the idea of the entire series, and I can't wait to see it released.

Well off to see if I can make something happen.

Until Wednesday, happy reading!

Huggles,
Donica
