It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

BAH! Last Thursday Jack Frost came nipping a lot more than our noses. Around 10 maybe 11 am it began to sleet. And sleet, and ice and did I mention the sleet? I couldn’t even keep up with the weather because our satellite went out. (What in the world did I do before satellite TV???) Watching through the static on the television I tried to view the 9 pm news. (The regular channels where I watch the ten pm news wouldn’t come in at all. )

The newsgirl was standing out in what appeared to be 4 inches of snow. Only it wasn’t snow. It was ice. About midnight on Thursday our power blinked then went out. We were the lucky ones though. By about 5 am our power was back. Friends of ours didn’t get theirs back until Saturday night and there are still some without power now.

The trees and entire landscapes were absolutely spectacular! My digital camera wasn’t charged so I missed on a lot of pictures but I did take some from our local news channel, KMOV channel 4, St. Louis Mo. These images were taken by viewers of the news channel (if I could give credit by name I would so please if anyone of these are yours post in the comments section. Thanks!)

Friday night I spent the night with BF working on Christmas gifts and trying to get last minute details completed. Saturday I spent the afternoon running wild. Getting a cake ready for a Christmas party, doing the all important nail salon trip, fixing food and getting ready to head out for the party in the bitter cold.

And now here I am, wishing I could find inspiration to write.

Speaking of inspiration, have you had a chance to read my latest book, Do Overs? (Nice segue huh? LOL) So far this book has been number two on By Graces Fictionwise page! I’m really happy about that!

Coming up in only 11 days the anthology, Stocking Stuffers is being released! My story Dear Micah is included in this book. So make sure to mark your calendars so that you can get your copy “hot off the press”!

I’ve got to get my website updated and try to start writing something. Must be the holiday’s blahs getting to me. Maybe I can find some Christmas cheer. Here’s hoping!

Huggles!
Donica
