So my mom calls and my DD and I end up going and meeting her for lunch. On the way home DD starts to feel ill. We barely made it on the porch when lunch made a return appearance. Not fun for her or me for that matter. Gave her some Tums, a cool damp cloth and sent her to bed.
While she napped I was supposed to be getting to work. I had to catch up on all my emails and then I have Blogs that I visit every (or every other) day looking for information and just keeping up with other writers. Now mind you I am supposed to be writing, editing, working on two newsletters, doing Blogs, my list of to do is growing by the minute.
Still I went to visit my friend Lyn Cash’s blog and saw she had found a very interesting test but she couldn’t remember the link so I headed off in search of the test. (Thanks Lyn!) It’s what Classic leading woman are you. Also there is one Which classic leading man are you.
So here is what I discovered. If I were a classic leading man I’d be Clark Gable
You scored 35% Tough, 9% Roguish, 23% Friendly, and 33% Charming!

You're a helluva guy, a real split personality and a bit of an enigma. On the one hand, you're a man's man, tough talking and ready for anything. But on the other hand, you soften your rough and tumble core with a disarmingly smooth exterior, and you make the ladies swoon. You're equally admired by both men and women alike, drinking other men under the table all the while charming the socks off half a dozen lovelies. You're a commanding presence, and you know how to get what - and who - you want when you want it. You're drawn to women who, like you, are savvy enough to deal with the world on their own terms. You work well with spitfires. Leading ladies include Joan Crawford, Myrna Loy, and Jean Harlow. No damsels in distress for you.

If I was a leading lady I’d be:
Katharine Hepburn
You scored 19% grit, 23% wit, 52% flair, and 21% class!

You are the fabulously quirky and independent woman of character. You go your own way, follow your own drummer, take your own lead. You stand head and shoulders next to your partner, but you are perfectly willing and able to stand alone. Others might be more classically beautiful or conventionally woman-like, but you possess a more fundamental common sense and off-kilter charm, making interesting men fall at your feet. You can pick them up or leave them there as you see fit. You share the screen with the likes of Spencer Tracy and Cary Grant, thinking men who like strong women.

This works out fairly well since I adore Katherine Hepburn. Of course I’m crazy about Myrna Loy and Veronica Lake. I prefer the old classics to the modern movies. There is just something about watching an old black and white film and getting caught up in the romance, the challenges, the way a dame could be a dame and still be treated with respect by the man.
As to the leading man, this one I have a tad issue with. While Clark Gable is handsome, sexy, classy, he doesn’t do it for me. Give me Cary Grant, William Powell; even Spencer Tracy was adorable though I grant you not specifically sexy he was someone you could curl up with like a teddy bear.
Unfortunately I procrastinated long enough. I have to at least make it appear I’ve done some work today, right?
I’ll see you all again soon! Hop over to Magic Mavens where I’ll be posting before long!
Huggles,
Donica
