Golden Roses and Gray Skies

Humpday, the workweek is about over, YAY! Yeah, I know it only counts as a weekend if you’ve actually been working and this week I’ve been low on working energy. I have been looking into a new publishing house that just opened their doors and are accepting manuscripts.

The Wild Rose Press, http://www.thewildrosepress.com/ looks pretty promising. I really love their site and the categories of the books. They promise something for everyone. I’m not saying I have anything ready for submission or anything, but I am keeping my eyes and my options open.

If you hadn’t already heard, I’ve been nominated for another writing award. And honestly I love it, but waiting to hear the winners announced is such a pain, my nerves get all bent out of shape stretching taut.

The Magic Mavens are hard at work getting our first newsletter ready to send out and we’d really love it if you haven’t had a chance yet, for you to join our mailing list. It is only going to be us sending out our newsletter once every two months and the first newsletter will be released this next week.

Simply click on the button to the side of your screen to join the list. That’s it! I also have a link for my monthly newsletter; so either one or both are ready to welcome you!

I received another round of edits on my historical so I’ve been getting those finished and ready to send in for the final run through. I love being a writer, but honestly, the edit phase is a nightmare for me. I feel like a plastic surgeon is looking at my “baby” and telling me where he could do improvement surgery on the kid! Suddenly my baby becomes a monster and I want to run screaming from him. But in the end when he is a hot selling model I will not be sorry the “surgery” is just so stressful.

Storms are moving back into the area in about an hour or so that means I need to get all my online stuff done so I can shut down for the rest of the day.

Thank you everyone for popping in here and checking me out. It makes my day to know that I’m not doing this just for myself. And I’d really love to hear from my readers. I have a place for comments on this blog, I have an email address and I have a website with guest book, I’d love it if you could take a few minutes to drop me a line!

Also if you haven’t had the chance pop over to my website and read Storm’s excerpt and then feel free to leave me a note letting me know what you thought of her.

Well need to run. Huggles and Happy Reading!
Donica
