Missed yesterday

But I had a good reason. My best friend works three jobs and has three sons. Being as she’s so busy now we never have time to get together. Well hardly ever. And when we do it can only be for such a short time. Well the two youngest boys were off school this week and she was off from all three jobs yesterday so I invaded her house for the day.

It was a planned event. I needed a touch up on my hair and she had this idea for something new. Well I put my trust in her completely, (as I always have) and bought four boxes of hair color, four different shades of red. I had nightmare leading up to the event.

Would my hair fry and fall out? Would I come out looking like a sunburned zebra?

As the first layer of color was applied panic set in, this was mistake; let's just do the one color and forget it. Still I said nothing. Rinsed out and blow dried the hair and sat down for colors two and three to be streaked in the hair. It sat, we had lunch watched the boys play, watched television and then it was time for the rinse.

As I stood in the bathroom waiting for the blow dryer to do it’s thing I watched in wonder as the three shades melded together beautifully. The tones were so subtle it’s just perfect! I love it. Of course this means that now every six weeks I have to invade her home for the day and under the guise of coloring my hair get to spend the day with her. (And I know that’s only three colors. I decided to pass on the fourth; once it looked good I sure didn’t want to mess with it anymore!) She should’ve become a beautician instead of getting her real estate license. (Love ya K!!!!!)

I once again haven’t gotten any writing done. Well nothing productive book wise. I’ve done my replies for the next month in the Moonlit blog, which took a couple of hours. Then I got caught up on all the mails I’ve missed yesterday.

I’m getting into it soon, I promise. But my absence and the delays have allowed Becca to come closer to catching me up! Her B.E.A.S.T. series inaugural book is now up to page 119. If I’m not careful she’s going to pass up Maryna and leave me in the dust. No more distractions for a while, please? Yeah, I hear you Becca, “come on someone send her more stuff! Come on, would ya?” LOL

Ok time to write is rapidly passing me by. I’ll see you all later.

Huggles and Happy Writing!
Donica
