Another weekend has come and gone

And here we are looking at Monday again. And can you believe it’s already coming to the end of March? Where is this year rushing to anyway?

I still have a living room that looks like a home supply outlet, but my DH is getting things moved around slowly. I’ll just be so glad to see the new bathroom and an empty living room.

I was working on Maryna and I had this new idea creep into my head. It is just a trailing little idea. Have no idea where it came from or where it’s going but it ate at me until I wrote some little snippet down and before I knew it I’d written 15 pages. If I’d been able to write that on Maryna I’d be wrapping her up by Wednesday. I have to force myself to focus but it aint easy.

In other news my Nanny (grandmother) has birthday on Thursday and all of us girls are getting together at her house to celebrate. I’ve got her cake designed and sketched all I need now is to bake it, and buy the roses and rose petals. It’s going to be so pretty.

It’s going to be a round cake and iced with butter cream and have a smooth fondant cover and I’m going to trail real roses over it. The round crystal tray is going to have candied rose petals and then the cake will sit in the center. I hope it looks as great as the mental image. I love cake decorating. For me it’s relaxing. I can’t do the fancy stuff. I never learned to make icing roses, never took a decorating class I just see this image in my mind and that’s what I try to copy. I’ll take pictures and see about posting them on my website.

Also in family news, we’re being rained on with babies. My cousins Julia and Amy and my SIL Amy are pregnant. Julia’s baby came about three weeks early. He’s five pounds and by all reports the most adorable baby ever. His name is Eli Pryor and I can’t wait to see him. I have a cold bug so I wasn’t able to go to the hospital to see him, but between my parents and my aunt and uncle I’m sure I’ll be seeing pictures before long.

Cousin Amy and SIL Amy still have a while before they are due. SIL is due in June, and cousin Amy is due…May I think. It’s going to be a while before they pop. We hadn’t had any new babies in the family for a while now all the sudden three boom boom boom, LOL.

Time to stop playing and get to work. I’ll see you all soon!
