Here it is Friday, the end of another long week.
I need music to help me focus on writing. And as a new procrastination tool I've been putting my CDs on my computer. Easier than having to change CDs every hour or so. While combing through my library to see which ones I want I came across a CD of a great bar band from Milwaukee. Billy Conrad Band. Folks let me tell you, these guys are fantastic. I saw them once at a halloween bash, and while they did a couple of cover songs they did more of their original music. Billy is an extremely talented singer/songwriter. Heck, the entire band is AMAZING! If your in the Milwaukee area and can go see these guys play in person, GO!!! You can visit their website http://www.fortunecity.com/tinpan/hammond/98/id28.htm
Tomorrow morning I go to a meeting so I can sign up to be a party light candle consultant. Yeah, like I dont have enough on my plate...LOL If my dad can hold off on leaving til the "party's" over then I'll go down with him for the week.
Still trying to plump up the current WIP to get the word count. As I go through and read it I end up cutting, I've cut and mangled at least 50 pages at this point. Yes it's made the story stronger, tighter, and slowed it down a bit. But still that's 50 pages I really could use. Here's hoping I can get it right.
I'm not as down as I have been this week. Felt pretty good to blow and let it out. I almost feel good enough to go out in public...wait holiday shoppers...ummm maybe not. I need to get out and do some people watching. Get some mannerisms, facial expressions, attitudes noted down. I guess I'll have to watch a couple of movies until I can get out.
We have yet to get the inside of the house decorated for Christmas. I'm still not much in the mood for the holiday this year. Maybe I'll get around to it, for my DD anyway. That child has been my strong hold. She's such an angel. Helpful, loving, generous and good hearted. All this despite being a thirteen year old...
Well guess I'll get back to my blaring music and my man in uniform.
Huggles, HAPPY READING!
