The NaNo has ended and I got through it with over 60k word count WOOHOOO!! *Snoopy happy Dance* I get to use a really cool graphic of a trophy. And I got a certificate I can print up to keep in a place of honor in my office. I tried to use the graphic here, but my HTML skills are still very raw. I did get it on my website though! Drop over and check it out. Donica Covey click there and pop over. Sign my guest book while you're there.
December 1 already. Can't beleive it, this year has just sped away. Well I've been an officially published author for exactly one year. "Hawk's Rayne" made it's debut last Dec. Unbeleiveable.
I've been in such a rush lately I feel like I can't slow down. It's hard to go full tilt on no sleep, but when you're on the kind of roll I've been lately, it's hard to shut off the mind and walk away from your computer (or notebook, or quick pad, etc)
I've been lost in the new WIP I've been working on. Feeling immersed in the story itself. And its an AMAZING feeling. Unfortunately it also makes you blind to dropped thoughts, the missing lines, the lack of emotions. All the things that the Rita Reader NEEDS to be able to follow the story. Thanks to two fabulous friends, Rae and Becca, we've been working to try and help me get out of tunnel vision mode. It's the goal of every writer to make their books so grabbing that the reader escapes from the world and become lost in the story. For just the day (or however long it takes) Rita Reader is transformed into Heather Heroine. And with the Hunky Hero, they ride off to their HEA (happily ever after). When the book ends, Rita should be left breathless and satsified.
I do a segment in the Belfry Blog on the 14th and the 24th. I'll be expanding on the above on the 14th.
I'll see you all tomorrow!
Huggles, and HAPPY READING!
