Looking back

I had to add this video. My DH really loves this. Who doesn't like hamsters? And when they dance its even cuter:

Have to run, there's work to be done!

old classics

I enjoy the old classics. Johnny Horton, Hank Williams senior, Hank Snow, Jimmy Driftwood (he's a distant relative, maybe that's why I'm partial to him...) and Little Jimmy Dickens.

I also enjoy anyone who can make me laugh. So when a classic song comes along that can bring on a giggle or three, I have to keep it. I've known this song most of my life.

I hope I can bring a little smile to your face with it:

What more is there to say after that?

Hanging out with my friends

Each month my girlfriends and I get together for a girls night out. Being as we're poor (LOL) we go to each other's homes. Our hubbies are usually pretty cool about it.

One night K and I were at Ronnie's and we got to talking about that little annoying thing, the one that is now called Crazy Frog. Ronnie and her DH didn't know what we were talking about so we hit the computer and pulled it up.

How many of you know what Crazy Frog is? Here ya go:

Annoying or fun--you decide...

Another great!

I LOVE gummy bears. When I was in college, my parents sent me a care package each month and the main item I looked forward to was a HUGE canister of gummy bears. Not your ordinary every day ones but these were imported from Germany. I had to force myself to make them last.

Well, I was eating a bag the other day and my daughter mentioned this song. I'd never heard it before so we hit YouTube for it. I LOVED it!

For all you Gummy lovers out there I give you, THE GUMMY BEAR SONG:

Gee, now I've got the munchies....

Here's another one for you!

I collect cows. My grandparents have a beef ranch in Arkansas and I spent over half my life there. As a result I have an amazing love of cows. On the hoof or on the grill, I love them.

I was scanning YouTube with my daughter (she wanted me to find a particular song) and I came across this video.

I couldn't stop laughing. Hope it's that way with you!

I AM COW:

Was that great or what?
I hear you laughing even now.

Funny...

I decided to find the lighter side of life and I just had to share some videos I came across. As there are so many of them I get a kick out of, I decided I'd do one every day or two.

This particular song has some special "flashback" memories for me--NO, not THOSE kinds of flashbacks! My best friend and I would listen to this one album everytime we got together. As a result we had it, and every other song on the album, memorized.

Recently we'd told a friend of ours about it. She had never heard it. K and I looked at each other and sang it from start to finish. I'm amazed that after all these years, we still knew it word for word.

Anyway--here it is. I give you WildWood Weed, by Jim Stafford:

Hope you enjoyed it!

Welcome to the first week of February!

My friend and fellow author Rebecca Goings does a thing called Hottie of the Week on her personal blog http://beckasbabble.blogspot.com and this gave me an idea. I thought I’d do a best couple type of thing. I'm going to take images of people I use or have used for my characters and show them to you.

Now please don’t see these photos and go Oh WOW! He's with her?? This is just who I've put together as the basis for my characters. I'll start with my most recent contract, Callye's Justice. I know I may have mentioned a time or thousand that this book was planned on being the first book in a series called Gateway Guardians. Anyway, here is the blurb:

DEA Special Agent Justice Bernard and his team has spent years investigating and putting kinks into the chain of drugs Entering and leaving St. Louis. He's seen a lot in his line of work but he's blind-sided when Callye Anne Simone, the love of his life, is kidnapped the very day he proposed. Now he must find her at any costs. Her kidnappers are the very men he has shaken down for drug trafficking and they want revenge Can Justice save Callye from the men who want to destroy him?

So here are Justice and Callye (Rob Morrow and Charlize Theron)

I'm hoping this week will be as productive in my writing as last week was.

Remember the Phantom of the Opera birthday cake I said I was making for my daughter’s birthday? If you’d like to see it click on the link here and you’ll be able to view the image.
