Long time, no post. Sorry to have been MIA for so long. Things have been busy here. I began a new project two weeks ago and I wrote the entire book in nine (yes 9) days. From the beginning to the end.
Now comes the hard part. No, surprisingly the writing aspect isn’t the hard part. Especially when the story is playing like a movie in your brain and it practically writes itself! But I digress. Now comes the hard part. Editing, plumping, rewriting, editing and rereading all over again.
A manuscript must be spit shined and perfect before it can be sent out and I’m trying a new publishing house with this one, so I guess we’ll see how it works out. I’m developing carpal tunnel, all over my body from sitting on my throne (no not that throne! My chair is designed to look like a medieval throne with green velvet cushions. I LOVE this chair! LOL)
But I’ve got to get this done before the edits for Storm roll in. And those are expected anytime soon. After Storm’s edits I will get the edits for Do Overs and then the edits for Dear Micah. The rest of this year is going to be frightfully busy for me. A good busy, to be sure, but busy nonetheless.
I will try to keep up on my blog posts but if I disappear for a while know that I will be back. Eventually. Hopefully.
The weather here has been hell. Literally. Over 100 degree temps, raging storms, misery in Missouri. Storms and the shifting fronts bring on migraines for me so the last couple of weeks have been a joy for me.
That coupled with the self-imposed deadline have made my stress level only slightly higher than normal. My DH has been after me to back off and slow down a bit. I’ve tried to explain to him it doesn’t work that way, but he hasn’t gotten it, yet. I still hold out hope for him.
We’re now back to three-dog life. My parents brought the little cairn back, much to my DH’s dismay. To be honest the other two don’t seem all that thrilled either. They all get along; it’s just that after over a month of them not having to share our attention it’s going to take a bit to get them back into the swing. Of course Teddy, the little cairn is eating it up. He gets his spot back on my desk while I work so he’s in heaven.
Well I have more polishing to do so I guess I better head out.
Huggles to you all, stay cool and HAPPY READING!
