Hollywood is SO LAME!!!!!

I've been hearing plans to remake Fame and Footloose. Most of the movies I've seen advertised in recent times are all remakes of older, BETTER films. I'll pull from my own files:

Yours, Mine and Ours. I LOVE Dennis Quaid--I admit it with no reservations. HOWEVER, the remake fell so flat in my book. After all the original movie was the telling of true story of a HUGE blended family. The remake wasn't true to the original tale at all. Cheaper by the Dozen--Another true story that was muddied by the remake.

Father of the Bride: Spence Tracy, Myrna Loy Elizabeth Taylor=FABULOUS
Father of the Bride: Steve Martin, Diane Keaton--not as good but still on the keeper shelf.

Father of the Bride 2 compared to Father's Little Dividend similar in theme, amusing for certain but still Spencer Tracy out shines Steve Martin.

Parent Trap--again I LOVE Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson is one of my favorite actresses but it missed a little of the original Disney Magic.

If Hollywood's writers are so strapped for ideas that they need to "remake" original classics then maybe it's time Hollywood found new writers! I mean, hello! I can name several books that would make Damn fine movies--I have a whole list of author's who's titles would ROCK as movies. I submit them to you now:
