Getting closer

Man are my nerves jumpy, and I'm thinking they're only going to get worse. My book signing is Saturday and I'm pretty anxious about it. The weather has turned and not for the better. This morning we awoke to a sheet of ice on everything. Not a pleasant way to start the day. I'm hoping it clears up by Saturday. If the weather is bad no one will go out shopping for groceries much less go to the book store.

And of course, I also woke up with a sore throat and coughing. I seem to do this, when I get anxious or excited about something I get a cold. I've been drinking nyquil in an attempt to kill whatever has decided to try and ruin my weekend.

This week is shaping up to be very busy. My little Alyx turns 1 tomorrow (where did the time go?) Then Thursday my father is having "minor" (is there such a thing?) surgery on his jaws. Friday is my shopping day with my mom and Friday night is the annual homecoming/reunion at my old high school, Saturday is the book signing, and I think we're celebrating Alyx's bday (since the 7th was a weeknight).

Man, I'm tired after just reading this!

I might skip the reunion. I don't have many fond memories of high school and I don't know how many of the people I do want to see will be there. I'll wait and see what happens.

Well, I better go. I have some writing to get done and some errands to run.
