My day yesterday

Yesterday was a very interesting weather day. I got up at my usual time, followed my usual routine, and went to work. At noon I let my little dog Teddy out to do his business.

The weather was a comfortable 71 degrees. There was a very gentle breeze that tenderly caresses my cheek as I waited for the little monster to do what all little monsters do: pretend to be sniffing and then cutting to run away. Little shit.

Finally he came racing back expecting a treat no doubt. He didn't get one because he ran away. (And like the spoiled brat he is, he pouted.)

I went back to work and around 1:30 my DH came home. Our DD went to have spacers put on in prep for her braces. It was 68 and the gentle breeze had kicked up a few notches. The neighbors trash was in my yard, sans cans. The electrical wires popped and danced. Power went out several times for a couple of minutes each.

Little monster had to go out...AGAIN so I took him out. The wind had gusts of up to 70 MPH Watching my little cairn terrier (Toto dog)trying to move around in the wind cracked me up. I kept expecting to see him taken off to see the Wizard.

This time he met me at the door. Inside he got his treat but he stayed by my side.

DH went to pick up DD about 2. It was 65 and the rain began. lightly at first and then heavier. Then it was buckets.

I had to shut everything down due to power issues so I had to stop working. Came out to find the rain had been replaced by SNOW!

By 7 pm it was 15 degrees! We had spring, fall and winter all in the span of seven hours.

Tornadoes had been reported and we were in the watch/warning area and though we had massive winds, a bit of damage from stuff blowing into our vehicles, there wasn't any real issue here.

Today its calm and sunny and a blistering 21.

How was your day?

Hi Donica,

I could practically see the scene from your description. I'm in New Zealand and it's mid-summer. We only have one temperature at the moment and that's hot and sticky. Although I can say that little dogs behave the same pretty much all over the world :)

Thanks Shelley. I bet its beautiful in N.Z. I've always wanted to travel to N.Z. Australia, Wales, Tasmania and places in that region.

You have a little terror, I mean terrier as well?

Have a wonderful day and stay (in your case) cool!
