Guess what this week's T13 is?

Yep. Thats right one more week of Latin but it's the final week, Honest! I've almost finished my edits (thank you God)and I just didn't have time to work on anything else. I promise to try and be more original next week.

Ok here we go. This week's Latin lesson is on writing related phrases.:

Thirteen Latin writing related quotes

1. Cacoethes scribendi - An insatiable urge to write.
2. Cave ab homine unius libri - Beware of anyone who has just one book.
3. Cui dono lepidum novum libellum? - To whom do I give my new elegant little book?
4. Difficile est saturam non scribere - It is hard not to write satire.
5. Helluo librorum - A glutton for books. (bookworm)
6. Insanabile cacoethes scribendi - An incurable passion to write.
7. Nec laudas nisi mortuos poetas: tanti non est, ut placeam, perire - If only dead poets are praised, I'd rather go unsung
8. Non curo. Si metrum non habet, non est poema - I don't care. If it doesn't rhyme, it isn't a poem
9. Nullus est liber tam malus ut non aliqua parte prosit - There is no book so bad that it is not profitable on some part. (Pliny the Younger)
10. Optimus magister, bonus liber - The best teacher is a good book
11. Oratvr fit, poeta nascitvr - An orator is made [but] a poet is born
12. Qui scribit bis legit - He who writes reads twice
13. Scribere est agere - To write is to act

See you next week!

What a neat idea. All I know is a few Spanish words thanks to the monsters watching Dora the Explorer. Happy TT!

Great post. #11 & #12 are my favourites.

BTW - don't know if it's my computer, but it's really hard to read the text on this page.
