Betraying Chase

WAHOO. I know I told you all on July 3rd that I finished Betraying Chase. I also see that my word meter says I'm only about 91% done. 2 things came into play regarding this conflict. 1)The story ended before I actually hit the 55K goal. I know that during clean up I'll be seeing this total fluctuate so I'm not as concerned. 2)My goal is to see these books end up in print at brick and mortar bookstores and my publisher's minimal word count is 50K for this program (well at this point anyway)so at least I know I've barely made it over the line for that goal.

So I'm sweating it. And I'm not changing my word meter counter. Kind of like an extra push to inspire myself when the second draft clean up work comes in. Right now I'm setting it to the side. Just for a couple of days so that I don't become so completely sick of the story that I would rather poke my own eyeballs out rather than look at it ever again. I have felt this way before. I wonder if other authors have felt something similar?

So anyway, right now I'm working on Dragon's Angel again. I don't have a publisher in mind for it yet. But I'm so loving this world of my own creation.

I'm off. Back to the world of Grogan, dancing with unicorns, soaring with dragons and battling an evil king. See you all next time!
