Happy Valentine’s Day!!

It’s the most romantic day of the year! So what are your plans? As a romance writer you’d think I had plans for a hot date. An evening of chocolate, champagne and roses. Nope. Sorry to shatter your illusions. My plans actually include a nice dinner with my DH and DD, maybe some popped corn and sitting down to enjoy our television shows. My DH already presented us with our Valentine’s gifts. I received a lovely large mini-rose (how’s that for an oxymoron??) in the most beautiful shade of coral and he purchased our DD a smaller bush, the blooms are a lovely yellow and the tips are an orange shade. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! I don’t need wine and roses, not that I’d EVER turn them down but I love the things that last forever. Between the mini-rose bush and the new whirlpool bathtub, who can ask for anything more?

Now on to more fun! Did you know there is annual poll to identify the sexiest professions? The 2006 winner was Fire Fighter. Is this surprise? Not for me! I have always found fire fighters well for lack of a better word, HOT!!! I mean let’s think about it. They have to have excellent upper body strength, which usually means well-defined abs, muscled arms, etc. Just picturing it is making me drool!!!!

Also, they are willing to rush into a burning building for people they don’t even know! How sexy is that? To be a hero of the caliber. MAN!!! Am I a bit prejudice? Yeah probably I had the pleasure of serving on a fire department as an EMT for almost 10 years. It was the most amazing time of my life. And I can honestly say most all of these men (and women) were the best people! Friendly, polite, fun loving, there was never a dull moment with them!

I have a thing for a man in any uniform be it Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force, Fire Fighter, Police, ummm. (in a homer Simpson like voice) Umm Uniform…
