WAHOOOOOOO!!!!!

Unless you’ve been hiding in a cave (this doesn’t apply to you my Batty fiends! ;)) you know that I’ve been anxiously awaiting word from Samhain Publishing on a manuscript I sent them back in October. I finally received word back. I didn’t make it….NOT!!!! LOL

I received and email from the lovely editor, Jewell Mason, it included a CONTRACT FOR CALLYE’S JUSTICE!!!!!!!!! Can you tell I’m bouncing off the walls, cheering and shouting? No? You must live off on Pluto! LOL I’m still shaking, dancing and celebrating! No release date, but that’s ok! I mean they haven’t received my signed contracts yet. While this is planned to be the first book in the Gateway Guardians series, there was no mention of contracting the full series. BUT, that’s fine; I mean one step at a time, right?

This is what I hoped, dreamed and wished for. I asked Santa Clause to bring me a contract for Christmas and not only did the Jolly Fat Man pull through for me, he came EARLY!!!! I’m ready for the edits to start rolling in. While I wait I’m working on book two of the series, Betraying Chase. I’m really hoping that this all goes as planned. The biggest excitement of all? As of now Samhain puts all books over 50k words (minimum 200 pages) send the books to print publish after 6 months of being available as ebook. This means that the book will be available through Barnes and Noble, Borders and other bookstores! YAY!!!!! Now this policy can change at any time, but let’s hope and pray that it doesn’t change, deal? LOL

Yes, I’m totally stoked! I can go through my (huge!) list of still yet to be done Christmas details. Final shopping, cooking, baking, wrapping, and other minor incidentals that will crop up this week, but now I’ll be floating through it all so high that I (shouldn’t) get all stressed and freaked out over it!

All right off to get more work done.

Huggles!
Donica
