I am pleased to announce that my book Seeing the Light is the pick of the month over at By Grace Publishing’s website. YAY!!!! How exciting! This book is still very dear to my heart since I wrote the characters personalities and some of their experiences based on those my friend Lesa Treat and I had while we were younger.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out this book, I hope you decide to pick up a copy for yourself. You can do this by going to By Grace’s website and selecting the title. Easy as pie!

Here is the blurb for the book:
EMT Abby Barrett moves to her grandparent's small town in Arkansas to become the training officer for a newly formed rescue squad.
Royce Bishop, the town’s veterinarian, hears the news that Abby’s come back to stay and has visions of what could be. He’s loved Abby since they were kids and now is his chance at having her back in his life for good.
While racing through the fields with her best friend, Abby is thrown from her horse. She wakes up in a hospital blind, and decides her newfound romance is over. Where love is concerned, can Royce help her see the light?
And here is a small excerpt.
Royce sat down next to her and looked out across the highway, “Hey, want to go for a walk?”
“Sure.” She answered; he’d stood up and was extending his hand to her. She took it and he pulled her up to her feet. “Where would you like to go?”
“I don’t know, lets just see where we end up.”
He hadn’t let go of her hand and she was quickly remembering how good it felt. “How have you been?”
“Good. I’m glad to have set up my office here. The farmers like having someone they know and trust to deal with. Plus being local means they don’t have to haul the cattle or whatever over to Marshal or Mountain View.”
She nodded. “I know Pops is glad to have you around.” They’d walked to the old picnic table under the oak tree. She smiled and sat down. “Remember all those sunsets we shared under this tree?”
He sat next to her. “I’ve never forgotten. Every time I see a sunset I think of you.” He told her and placed his arm around her and rested it on the table. “I’ve missed these times.”
“I have too.” I’ve missed more than just sitting here with you.
“Abby, I know it’s been a while since we spent time together. Maybe now that you're back we can see more of each other.”
Her heart lurched in her chest, maybe Tauni was right and they really did belong together. “I’d love that.”
The sky became a palette of pastels, pinks bleeding into purples, and becoming blues. The time between day and night was the most magical Abby felt. She loved it and being with Royce again made it the even better. The sky darkened and stars started twinkling like diamonds against velvet.
Royce moved in closer He reached out a finger and turned her to face him. He pressed his lips to hers and pressed a gentle kiss. Slowly the kiss deepened and Abby felt like she was falling into space. Her heart raced, and the blood sang in her veins. It was heaven on earth. “I’ve waited for this for so long,” she murmured when he pulled away from the kiss.
“Me too,” he admitted softly. “I don’t ever want you to leave me again.”
“I don’t ever want to be anywhere else.”
“I should get you back to the house.”
“Kiss and run?” She teased.
Well the book I've been obsessing over for the last couple of weeks is just about ready. I even wrote the dreaded synopsis and blurb. Now I'm just waiting for my CPs to let me know if it looks perfect and write the query letter. Then its out into the cyberspace mail and the long wait will begin. *Grabs a couple of Tums* It's going to be all right...really. LOL
Well I need to run.
Huggles and HAPPY READING!
