Some Photos of our trip

Just thought I'd share a couple of pictures that I took on our vacation:


A lovely little waterfall on one of the roads we took the ATV's down. I often go to a spot near this place to sit and plot ideas for stories or work on current ones.









A little friend we met along the way. This a small rattler. He was only about three feet long. You can see the black line of his tongue as he tried to figure out who we were.

I had seen him headed to the other side of the road so I stopped to take his picture when the little guy turned and started heading over to me.


On one of the many night drives we took we finally remembered to bring the camera along...for all the good it did us.

This is a pair of doe eyes. Kind of weird seeing them this way. I don't beleive in spotlighting as a form of hunting. But we took the spotlight along for photos. Even with it on this was the best shot we got that night.



This guy was our trip mascot. My best friend knows I'm a bat and she thought it would be appropriate.

While we saw many bats including a rather large one, this is the only one we got a picture of. This one is for all my fiends in the bat cave and belfry. Even though I was out of town y'all were still on my mind!




We spent one day shooting. This is my best friend working on her Annie Oakley impersonation. K will probably kill me for this one because she doesn't like her picture being taken.









Here is K showing my DD how to load and work the BB gun. The boys are K's sons.










It's very hard to see but she is receiving butterfly kisses. There were dozens of them flying around her and landing on her arms and shoulders.









So despite all the things that went wrong we really did have a great time!
