And of course I woke up sick so I'm almost too tired to post anything. So I'll just post some Irish Blessings:
May you always have walls for the winds, a roof for the rain, tea beside the fire, laughter to cheer you, those you love near you, and all your heart might desire.
May your blessings outnumberThe Shamrocks that grow. And may trouble avoid you Wherever you go.
May your troubles be less, And your blessing be more. And nothing but happiness, Come through your door.
May you live a long life Full of gladness and health, With a pocket full of gold As the least of you wealth. May the dreams you hold dearest, Be those which come true, The kindness you spread, Keep returning to you.
And my favorite: May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields and, Until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Here are a few Irish toasts for when you heft those mugs of green beer:
May your glass be ever full.May the roof over your head be always strong. And may you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you're dead.
When we drink, we get drunk. When we get drunk, we fall asleep. When we fall asleep, we commit no sin. When we commit no sin, we go to heaven. So, let's all get drunk, and go to heaven!
There are many good reasons for drinking,One has just entered my head-If a man doesn't drink when he's living,How the hell can he drink when he's dead?
May you live as long as you want, and never want as long as you live.
May the grass grow long on the road to hell for want of use.
May you live to be a hundred years, with one extra year to repent.
As you slide down the banisters of life may the splinters never point the wrong way.
May your neighbors respect you, Trouble neglect you, The angels protect you, And heaven accept you.
May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light, may good luck pursue you each morning and night.
May the strength of three be in your journey.
May you die in bed at ninety-five years, shot by a jealous husband(or wife).
May your doctor never earn a dollar out of you and may your heart never give out. May the ten toes of your feet steer you clear of all misfortune, and before you're much older, may you hear much better toasts than this.
Well I'm all done in, hope your celebration, whatever it may be, find you safe, happy and healthy!
Huggles and Happy reading!
