So far behind

I'll be dead one hundred years before I catch up!

Fridays have become a customary day for my mom and me to go grocery shopping. The day kicks off with meeting my dad at a great little restaurant we call the boys, but it’s really “Sunrise.” It’s called the boys because the dad, he and the family are from Turkey, began it. The son’s now run the place so therefore, the boys.

Our waitress is always a lively, boisterous and lovely lady, Roxy. As soon as we walk in a good time and good food are guaranteed.

This tradition is by far my favorite because it’s a chance for my parents and me to sit down and spend some great times together. This past Friday was no different; once more we had a great time.

Saturday mom and I went to one of my cousins' baby shower. It was so weird to see Julia pregnant. She hasn’t changed; she still looks like the cute little kid running around the farm. Her baby’s due to come in about 6 weeks and she looks just radiant. Funny, she, my cousin Amy and my sister in law Amy are all expecting bundles of joy in blue. (Of course I think my SIL is going to have a girl…)

Mom and I didn’t get groceries Friday, the running took our afternoon, and Saturday we didn’t go because of the shower so we finally got out Sunday. I feel like I haven’t stopped all weekend.

So now here it is Monday and I’m playing catch up…

Tonight the authors at Moonlit Romance are having our very first meet and greet chat, here. I hope you will take a few minutes out of your lives and join us!

I don’t have a Did You Know for today, but check back tomorrow; I hope to have something for you then!

Until then, HAPPY READING!!!
Huggles,
Donica
