I'm having a birthday bash over at one of my readers loops, The Magic of Romance You are more than welcome to pop over and join in the fun!
Between birthday posts, I have about a dozen loaves of banana bread I have to bake to get ready for the holidays. And sometime I have to run to the store! I wish there was more than one of me!
Today's post is going to be (refreshingly) short. I hope you'll drop in on the birthday party!
In other news, yesterday morning, a dam was breached down south, it destroyed one of hte most beautiful parks in Missouri, Johnson Shutins. The superintendant's home and the town of Lesterville as well as the park were destroyed by an over 20 foot wall of water.
The superintendant had three small children, including a seven month old baby. Last report was that the children are in critical condition, but all news agencies have respected the family's request leave them alone and stop reporting any information about the children's condition. These poor people and many in the surrounding area have lost everything. This is a horrible tragedy any time, but so close to the holidays it's even worse. I'd like to ask all of to offer prayers for all of them.
I'll see you all tomorrow. Hope that your plans for the holidays are going as scheduled. And if your in the grips of the nasty weather, I hope your keeping warm.
Keep warm and Happy Reading!
Huggles,
Donica
